5 Tips to Surviving Valentine’s Day…When You’re Single
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. To some it’s just a normal day. To others it’s a day for romance, flowers, chocolates and hopefully a bit of hanky-panky. But what if you’re single? February 14th can be hell for singles, especially when it seems everyone else is in a loving relationship and you aren’t. So instead of fretting over what you’re missing out on this Valentine’s Day take a look at my tips below and make it your day!
1. Treat yourself! Valentine's Day does not have to be about being in a relationship. Buy yourself something special or treat yourself to something you’ve been wanting. As if you needed another reason to buy that sexy AF outfit!
2. Reach out and connect with old friends or family. Valentine’s Day is a great time to reach out to old friends or family members you haven’t talked to in a while. It can be as simple as sending a quick text to let them know you’re thinking of them. They might be feeling lonely, so reaching out to them could be helping them too.
3. Take time to do something for yourself. Whether it’s taking a bath, going for a walk, or just taking a few moments to sit in silence, taking some time to do something for yourself can be a great way to relax and remind yourself that you’re worth taking care of.
4. Spread some love. Valentine’s Day is a great time to spread some love. Whether it’s sending a card to a loved one, making a donation to a local charity, or volunteering your time, spreading some love and kindness can be a great way to make yourself and others feel happier.
5. Stop chasing the frogs, dogs and ghosts! You know who I mean…those guys that are all hot for you one minute then ghost you the next. Do you really want to waste your time and energy on people who don’t deserve your love and attention?
